Full Time Intake Coordinator
Location: Far Rockaway, NY 11691
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Office Management
Perform receptionist duties: greet visitors, and answer and direct phone calls.
Screen clients for services. Direct them to appropriate case workers for supportive services and referrals.
Maintain client list.
Maintain office supplies inventory.
Receive and sort incoming mail and deliveries, and manage outgoing mail.
Provide other administrative support as necessary, including building maintenance and vendor contacts.
Edit and maintain the community calendar.
Assist Holocaust Survivors with operating the Paneem Portal.
Ensures all basic facilities such as water and heating are maintained.
Oversees Repairs.
Assist with Special projects and events coordination.
Qualifications:
· Superior skill working with people who are under great stress
Must have knowledge and experience working with the Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Word, MS Excel, and Google Document.
· Able to work with an Internet-based database
· At least one year administrative experience
· Excellent computer literacy
Education and / or Experience: Bachelor’s Degree with at least one year of social services employment preferred or other pertinent experience.
Language Skills: Able to fluently speak, write, and read English; second language preferred
